Gil Guide and Tips For FFXIV

FFXIV boasts many adorable minions and mounts for its players to acquire; however, plenty of Gil is required in order to do so. Thankfully, there are multiple ways players can generate it in-game.

Crafting and gathering are among the fastest and most reliable ways of earning Gil, yet these activities may not be enjoyable for players focused on combat.

Crafting

Crafting is one of the best ways to earn Gil in Final Fantasy XIV, providing experience while creating money. Crafted items can even be sold on the Market Board to generate even more Gil.

Gathering materials can be an efficient and profitable way of earning Gil in Final Fantasy XIV, though it may take some time. Therefore, it's vital that you understand your market and which materials are in high demand before beginning this endeavor.

Retainer Ventures are another effective way of earning Gil in Final Fantasy XIV, though each server and DC may have different prices and sales trends.

Gathering

As players purchase weapons and customization items for themselves, as well as mounts to display their status, it makes sense for FFXIV players to learn how to earn Gil quickly - the easiest method being crafting and gathering.

Crafting Jobs (Weavers, Carpenters and Culinarians) require Gil to advance and produce equipment; Gathering Jobs (Miners, Fishers and Botanists) allow players to earn money by harvesting various items from their environment that can then be sold on the Market Board for profit. Retainer Ventures

Player Housing and Gardens

Patch 2.1 now permits Free Company ranks 6 and above to purchase an estate home for themselves, which requires both money and time-intensive work to furnish and decorate, but can provide consistent gil income streams.

Players should remember that any estate not accessed within 45 days will automatically relinquish its plot and return to the market for anyone to claim. This helps prevent players who do not wish to put forth the effort from taking up plots without actually using them.

Gardening requires seeds which are collected by botanists from various locations around Eorzea. Once collected, these can be sold back to the Market Board at a profit.

Mor Dhona Mounts

Gil is essential to this game if you wish to purchase weapons and accessories, mounts for show, housing upgrades and more.

Mor Dhona has been devastated by two of Eorzea's largest conflicts, leaving its once lush landscape battered and barren. Even its once verdant surroundings now stand in stark contrast against a desert landscape where crystal-scarred fragments from Agrius lie scattered along Silvertear Lake's shores.

This area hosts several Allagan Tomestone vendors, making it the go-to spot for endgame coordination. Furthermore, leve-related activities can prove very lucrative for players who own high-end gear.
