One of the most iconic games in the history of sports is the 1980 Winter Olympics ice hockey game between the United States and the Soviet Union, famously known as the "Miracle on Ice".

The match was held on February 22, 1980, in Lake Placid, New York, USA. The Soviet Union, a dominant force in ice hockey and a four-time defending Olympic champion, was expected to defeat the US team, consisting mainly of amateur and college players.

However, what happened during the game was nothing short of a miracle. The first period ended in a scoreless tie, but the Soviet team quickly took the lead in the second period with a goal by their superstar player, Valeri Kharlamov. The Americans, however, refused to give up and tied the game with a goal by Mark Johnson near the end of the second period.

In the third period, the US team took the lead with a goal by Mike Eruzione, and the crowd at the arena erupted in joy. However, the Soviets kept putting pressure on the Americans, and with just 10 minutes left in the game, they had a chance to tie the game with a power play opportunity.

The US team's goalie, Jim Craig, made several miraculous saves during the power play, and with less than a minute left in the game, the Americans managed to clear the puck out of their zone. The crowd counted down the remaining seconds, and when the final whistle blew, the Americans had done the unthinkable – they had defeated the Soviet team by a score of 4-3.

The "Miracle on Ice" was not only a victory for the US team but also a symbol of America's resilience and determination during the Cold War. It was a game that captured the hearts of people around the world and became a defining moment in the history of sports.  NIKE SB X AIR JORDAN 4 RETRO SP 'PINE GREEN', TRAVIS SCOTT AIR JORDAN 4 PURPLE SUEDE
